What is a difference between your Overall GPA and your Academic GPA?

May 25, 2018 0 Comment

Colleges often evaluate your GPA using their own formulas. Some of them will disregard so-called “easy A’s” which are your grades earned in courses like music, PE, and arts. Instead, they will focus on core academic courses like English, math, social studies, and science. MyKlovr GPA calculator only considers these core academic courses when establishing your Academic GPA. Your Overall GPA however, included all your courses.
Example:

Course Grade (4.0 scale)
Math 4.0
English 3.0
PE 3.0
Theater 3.0
Overall GPA 3.25
Academic GPA 3.50
